In a situation where companies are scrambling to adopt generative AI, one of Accenture’s top artificial intelligence (AI) executives offered company leaders a harsh reality check: It’s not a side project.
During the recent Fortune Brainstorm AI conference, Arnab Chakraborty, chief responsible AI officer at Accenture, argued that the era of keeping technology roadmaps separate from business goals is over. “The data and AI strategy is not a separate strategy, but the business strategy,” he said, emphasizing that for modern companies, these elements must form the basis of the entire operation.
This finding is the result of extensive, ongoing collaboration between Accenture and Australian telecommunications giant Telstra.
