A Ninth Circuit panel vacated the injunction blocking Perplexity’s Comet browser from shopping on Amazon, ruling that AI agents don’t independently ‘access’ a computer under federal hacking law when they act on a user’s own instructions. The court stopped short of blessing agentic shopping against Amazon’s terms of service, and the underlying case now returns to district court.
