Allianz Australia has launched its first fully generative AI-based advertising campaign.
The insurance brand commissioned its creative agency Howatson and Company to develop a series of short video advertisements, outdoor and social executions for its car insurance offering.
The video ads, which launched on BVOD but are intended for broadcast on television, show a car driving along a country road as cloud formations move to represent either the alliance’s pricing or flexibility offerings, while the sea eagle mascot flies above.
The launch is part of a conscious shift by Allianz Australia’s marketing team to stop talking about AI and start actively using it in production.

Speaking to Mumbrella, Allianz Australia marketing director Mariella Villa said: “We had a choice with the new campaign whether we went through a traditional process, but this is a great use case for us where we can do anything with AI.”
