Metro Council will hold a special joint committee hearing to address the failure of the Oracle payroll system

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Metro Council will hold a hearing next week to address failures in the payroll system that have left Metro employees and retirees without pay for months.

The Budget and Finance Committee and the Government Operations and Regulatory Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. March 31 at the Historic Metro Courthouse to consider the Oracle Fusion Cloud payroll system.

Earlier this week, WSMV4 reported on a retired Metro Nashville police officer who had not received his pension payment for months.

The city transitioned to the new Oracle system in January and many issues have been reported since the transition.

Tasha Ellis, Metro Councilmember for District 29, is urging all current and former Metro employees who have experienced payment issues since the Oracle transition to come forward.
