The AI inbox view shows emails that need urgent attention
Google is making a range of AI features available for free to every Gmail user and is announcing a range of new AI tools for paying customers.
Three AI features are made available to Gmail’s three billion customers, regardless of whether they pay for an account or not. These are:
- AI overviewswhere AI creates summaries of email threads so you can follow a conversation without having to read through the messages.
- Suggested answers with personalizationan update to the current Smart Replies where AI automatically composes a possible reply to an email for you, using the content of your previous messages to mimic your style and tone.
- Help me writewhere you can ask the Gemini AI to write messages on your behalf, such as “Write a factual response and suggest we meet next Thursday at 4 p.m.”
