President Donald Trump today signed into law a bill that criminalizes the creation and sharing of non-consensual intimate imagery online and gives social media platforms 48 hours to remove such videos or images once flagged by victims. The new law, which includes artificial intelligence-generated “deepfakes,” could give schools more leverage to deal with a growing—and still relatively unknown—challenge.
