A billion-dollar Amazon Web Services cloud computing data center is under construction in Clinton at the site of the former Delphi Packard Electric building, marking one of the area’s largest industrial projects.“It is going to expand our abilities, strengthen the core services that we offer our residents, and improve the quality of life and amenities we’re able to offer our residents,” Clinton Mayor Will Purdie said. Some residents have expressed concerns that the new data center could lead to higher power bills and draw significant amounts of water from the local supply.
