Hundreds of customers around the world experienced outages with Microsoft 365 and Azure, it’s cloud platforms, on Tuesday, according to many reports on X, with users contacting Microsoft’s X account for help. For Israeli users who depended on Partner and Hot as internet and mobile communication providers, this meant a total blackout, affecting many workplaces and potentially thousands of employees and nation-wide services, although it was still unclear if this was directly related to the Microsoft outage.

Authorities said they were investigating whether this was a result of a cyberattack with officials saying this was the underlying assumption, without providing specifics or pointing at the possible agitators who may be behind this. In recent days pro-Iranian hackers have shared information from what they say are the devices of Israeli public figures, including former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Prime Minister Benjamin Netayahu’s chief of staff Tzachi Braverman.
