Zuckerberg gives his AI billions to the 29-year-old prodigy

A year after Mark Zuckerberg tapped Alexandr Wang to send Meta’s artificial intelligence efforts into war mode, the $1.5 trillion company has developed Muse Spark, its most credible AI model yet.

Zuckerberg put responsibility for Meta’s AI revival on a then-28-year-old startup founder rather than an experienced researcher, betting that an outsider’s urgency and ambition could succeed where the company’s established AI organization had struggled.
