Last month, Zomato began testing its 10-minute grocery delivery service, Instant, on portions of Gurugram. But a shortage of couriers – due to sky-high fuel prices and a crippling heatwave in northern India – means it hasn’t been able to meet the 10-minute deadline for all orders. Now, sources tell us, the company is reviewing its ambitious plan and may settle for longer delivery times.

Zomato reconsiders its plan for 10 minute deliveries as this was not possible meet the time target for all orders during its pilot in Gurugram, several industry executives told us.
