The iPhone manufacturer according to a Bloomberg reporthas informed its retailers in the US that the mask mandate and other security protocols related to Covid-19 will remain in effect for the time being. The company said in the release that the safety of employees and customers is a top priority and that it continues to evaluate health and safety measures in the country.
The decision follows new guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that fully vaccinated individuals can resume activities without masking. “Fully vaccinated individuals can resume their activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing themselves, unless permitted by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local corporate and workplace guidelines, mandatory, “said the agency.
