It’s the opening weekend for Xenoblade Chronicles 3and while there was a lot of demand for the physical versions of the game, it seems many people are still picking up the digital version of the title.
For some, those purchases may even have been due to the delays associated with the fancier collector versions. According to the US eShop charts, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is now ahead of Minecraft.
It’s the same situation in places like the UK – Xenoblade is at the forefront, ahead of games like Between us, fifa 22, and Mario Kart. And in Japan, too, the game comes first. What’s more, it’s also charted on sites like Amazon.
Once again, it’s not a bad start for an RPG series like this. The previous game Xenoblade Chronicles 2 over 2 million copies sold and the original game Final Edition on Switch has moved more than 1.5 million copies.
