Earlier this week, Microsoft broke the internet when it announced this Acquired Activision Blizzard for nearly $70 billion.

While there is much talk about this future acquisition and how it will play out, don’t expect to hear too much about it right away. According to Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, Microsoft’s games division can’t really say much until the deal is finalized.

Here’s what he said on this week’s Xbox Podcast:

“Now I’m sure you’ll tune in and the comments will [be] We want to know X, Y and Z… the reality is this is going to take a while. And there’s a lot of work that needs to be done before it’s completed and that’s about all we can really say right now, as you can imagine there’s lawyers, there’s regulators and there’s a lot of work to do do before this is done…then we can talk further.”

“We have to wait for the ink to dry — it’s like you point to a house and say, ‘Oh, we want to buy this house but we don’t own it yet’ and we want to move in, but we can’t yet moving in – we’re not quite there yet…Once that happens and the deal is finalized I’m sure we’ll have a lot to talk about…I look forward to everyone at Activision and Blizzard joining the Xbox team.”

Phil Spencer has already shared some information via a press release and social media – revealing Microsoft will honor Activision Blizzard’s existing agreements with PlayStation. He also mentioned that Xbox has a “desire” to keep Call of Duty on Sony’s platform.
