A picture of a US “fan” at the World Cup went viral, but all is not as it seems.
The USMNT started their campaign with a 4-1 win over Paraguay on Saturday morning (AEST), and a photo that appeared to be from the game quickly gained attention online.

The “fan” stunned users with her USA-style bikini and face paint, with one post receiving more than 120,000 likes.
There were countless compliments, some even praising the photographer.
“Frames that make you want to watch football,” said X user Celikzin.
“We need to find out who this stunning woman is,” @jeff_xrp added.
Another user, @TonyMellace7, wrote: “Already the picture from the tournament.”
“The cameraman never misses an opportunity to find the real MVP in the stadium,” said @NikLearning.
