GOVERNMENT REVEALS AI PLAN
As Prime Minister Anthony Albanese continues its honeymoon, his government is moving forward with announcements and today there is to be a national AI plan.
Guardian Australia reports this morning what has been kept quiet for a long time, namely that the Albanian government is choosing not to legislate artificial intelligence and instead supports a less practical approach.
The Nine newspapers said the government had “shunned the tough regulations originally sought by unions in favor of a laissez-faire model as Labor aims to boost moribund productivity rates”. The Australian Financial Review claims that “business has been given the green light to advance the use and development of artificial intelligence… which shys away from strict regulation but warns of tough action if employers behave badly.”
