A woman accused of engaging in “political interference activities” in the UK on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party has denied the allegations as part of her legal claim against the intelligence services. The woman, Christine Lee, is suing the security services after MI5 warned in 2022 that she was a Chinese agent who had interacted with members of parliament, including donating £500,000 to Labor MP Barry Gardiner.
