TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident near Fort Lowell and Oracle in Tucson on Monday, December 1st.
Tucson police said the 43-year-old was not in a crosswalk when she was hit and the driver who hit her fled the scene. She died at a local hospital.
The TPD said the accident occurred around 7 a.m. and the woman’s name will not be released until her family is notified.
According to 88-CRIME, a reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the driver’s arrest. 88-CRIME also identified the woman as Maria Henderson.
The group said Henderson was pushing a small cart containing her personal items when she was struck.
