Nick, a Sydney man who asked to be identified only by his first name for privacy reasons, uses ChatGPT to help write birthday and wedding cards.
That doesn’t mean they don’t come from the heart – Nick says the messages he writes are mostly his own thoughts, memories and ideas.
“It’s all about getting inspiration for the text/filler parts because it’s easier to use ChatGPT than to come up with something funny on the spot,” he says.
“We usually write the cards in the car when we arrive before the event.”
