Windows 11 caused a stir when it was officially launched on June 24th, but not quite as Microsoft had planned.
When the official system requirements for their upcoming operating system were announced, Microsoft stated that all systems intended to run Windows 11 should have TPM 2.0. This created a wave of confusion among PC manufacturers. Now Microsoft explains why this particular TPM is needed.
