Mike Wilson, Morgan Stanley’s top equity strategist and one of the most influential voices on Wall Street, has not lost his belief in American exceptionalism. And at least part of that is due to what he calls the distinct lack of American humility.
“If you ask 10 people in America whether they are above or below average in intelligence, looks and athleticism, they will tell you they are above average in all three areas,” he tells Chanticleer with a laugh before his appearance at Morgan Stanley’s eighth Australia Summit, which begins in Sydney on Wednesday.
