AI does not fail because of technology. It fails because employees don’t trust the strategy behind it.

Something breaks in companies, and it’s not because of the technology. It’s trust. Executives advance their AI strategy and talk about efficiency improvements, competitive pressures and the need for modernization. But the enthusiasm doesn’t last among the employees who are expected to use these tools. In many cases it breaks down completely.
Executives see AI as a path to growth. Employees often perceive it as a threat.
And this emotional gap is getting bigger and bigger. You can see it in the quiet resistance, delayed adoption, and the subtle ways teams avoid using AI tools they don’t understand or trust.
It’s not the models. Not the data. Not the infrastructure. Trust is the real friction that slows down the dynamics of AI. And unless leaders face this reality head-on, neither major investments nor technical sophistication will deliver the expected results.
