There are many reasons to want one cellular laptop. It’s safer than connecting to public WiFi or you just don’t want to end up on the Starbucks mailing list. Maybe you just want the convenience of being connected to the internet all the time because you know it’s 2021 and connecting to the internet shouldn’t be something to think about. If you’re thinking about a 5G Samsung Galaxy PC, perhaps because it works better with your Galaxy phone and tablet, you’ve come to the right place.
Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360
The brand new Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 is equipped with the new 11th generation processors from Intel. The 5G model weighs just 1.1 kg (the Wi-Fi-only model weighs 1.04 kg). It’s thin and light, and it’s a convertible too. That means you can use it to draw, take handwritten notes, and more. And because you’re always connected to the internet, those handwritten notes will sync with OneNote even when you’re on the go.
For some reason, all companies seem to hate adding cellular capabilities to 15.6-inch laptops, so 5G is only available in the 13.3-inch model. It’s also equipped with an FHD Super AMOLED display, so you get vivid colors without the battery drain that comes with UHD. The panels are from Samsung Display and even have UL’s Greenguard Gold certification for low chemical emissions.
- With the premium PC, which can be transformed into a first-class tablet, you can improve your work-life balance. With a redesigned S-pen, brilliant Super AMOLED screen, the latest 11th generation Intel processor, Intel Evo certification, and our latest Wi-Fi chip, you can instantly switch from work to fun.
Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 5G
That’s right – if the Galaxy Book Pro 360 isn’t near you, Samsung has another 5G convertible for you. It’s the Galaxy Book Flex 5G, and it weighs 1.2 kg. It comes with 11th generation processors, an S-pen, and more. There’s even a camera on the keyboard deck with a view of the world so you can take pictures when you’re using it as a tablet.
For now, that’s it when it comes to Samsung Galaxy 5G laptops, but there are several 4G LTE laptops out there. Since all Intel-powered 5G laptops only run below 6 GHz, there isn’t much of a difference between 4G LTE and 5G speeds in the US. The following laptops have cellular connections, but they are 4G LTE.
Samsung Galaxy Book Pro
You may have wondered why there was only mention of the Galaxy Book Pro 360 on 5G laptops. Interestingly, Samsung decided to include 5G in the convertible, but only 4G LTE in the clamshell. And once again, it’s only available in the 13.3-inch model.
It weighs an incredible 0.88 kg and is 11.2 mm thin. Samsung has not compromised on the processors, as Intel uses 11th generation UP3 chips up to a Core i7 and Iris Xe graphics. It is available in Mystic Silver, Mystic Blue, and Mystic Pink Gold.

Samsung Galaxy Book S.
The Samsung Galaxy Book S is also a 4G LTE PC and contains the Snapdragon 8cx chipset from Qualcomm. At the thickest point it is 11.6 mm thin, at the thinnest point it is only 6.1 mm. It’s the kind of thin and light design you’d expect from an ARM processor. The nice thing about the Qualcomm chip is also that 4G LTE is standard. With Intel processors, you have to pay a premium. There is also an Intel Lakefield model that is Wi-Fi only.
Samsung has been a Windows on ARM partner for two generations, first with the Galaxy Book2 and now with the Galaxy Book S.. The platform will continue to evolve, but cellular connections will also be introduced for more laptops. That includes them Galaxy Book2 Flex 5G and the Galaxy Book Pro, both of which are operated by Intel.
