WhatsApp for iPhone introduces an update to make it easier to add people to an ongoing call and allow them to join a group call even after it starts. The change in the call interface was first spotted in a recent beta release for iPhone users earlier this month. The new WhatsApp for iPhone version also updates archived chats so that they remain archived and muted even if there are new messages in those chats.
The new call interface is part of WhatsApp for iPhone Version 2.21.140. It looks similar to Apple FaceTime enables group calls and enables users to see who is all present on a group call. You can also invite other people to join the conversation during the call by swiping the call menu up from the bottom and tapping Add people Possibility. You can also make a group call to a contact if the contact was initially unable to answer the call.
Aside from the changes available for group calls, the UI also revamped the one-on-one experience with similar buttons and controls.
In addition to the interface-level changes, the release notes for the update mention that the new Whatsapp Version brings joining group calls – the feature that was in the test a few days ago and began to roll out rolling earlier this week.
The updated WhatsApp for iPhone also changes the behavior of archived chats – it keeps the chats archived and silent even if new messages come in from these numbers. This means that the previously archived chats are not dearchived when they receive a new message. However, you can turn off this default change by going to. walk the settings > Chats > Keep chats archived.
WhatsApp also mentioned in their changelog that the update has sticker suggestions to help you find relevant stickers from the downloaded stickers when composing a message. It was discovered during testing in May and is available Android Last days users.
You can download the updated WhatsApp on your iPhone from the Appstore. It’s important to note that WhatsApp stated in the changelog that the new features will be rolled out in the coming weeks, so you may not get them right away. The app is 178 MB in size and requires at least iOS 10.0.
