We are in the middle of a massive hype-bubble around so-called artificial intelligence. A series of the world’s richest men (and they nearly are all men) have told us that ​“AI” is soon going to outpace human intelligence, that it can replace workers at any number of jobs in any number of industries, and that its ​“progress” is inevitable.
