Google is rolling out Home app 4.3 for Android (not yet widely available) and iOS (already live) today as a more sizable update.
Of note for Android is an edge-to-edge design on Android 15 and newer, with content extending behind system bars. That said, we’re not sure what this will look like as the top/app and bottom bars are currently fixed with just the feed in the middle scrolling.
Meanwhile, Google mentions the improved device controls for lights, plugs, and switches that we already spotted. Google says Android users will see “up to 2x faster response time.”
The Home and Away automations are using the redesigned editor. This lets you “fully customize them with conditions, new actions, and any other starters.”
