In 2035, AIs are more than just co-pilots in medicine, they have become the front line for much primary care. Gone is the early morning rush of asking a GP’s stressed-out receptionist for help. Patients now turn to their doctor’s AI to describe their symptoms. The information is quickly compared with the patient’s medical history and a preliminary diagnosis is made, allowing the human primary care physician to decide what to do next.
