Google has surprised everyone by announcing an early Made by Google event on August 13, where they will unveil the Pixel 9 and Pixel Watch 3. The event will take place at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, breaking the tradition of hosting it in San Francisco. The invitations have already been sent out, focusing on Android, Pixel, and AI capabilities.
Last year’s Made by Google event saw the launch of the Pixel 8, Pixel Watch 2, and new AI features for Google Assistant. This year, the highly anticipated products include the Pixel 9, Pixel Watch 3, and a possible Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Speculation about the Pixel Buds Pro 2 has also been circulating. The Pixel Watch 3 will come in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm.
The reason for the early event date is unclear, but it could be Google’s strategy to combat leaks before the reveal. With the company choosing 2024 as a year of surprises, more changes could be expected as the event approaches. The event will kick off at 10 am Pacific Time/1 pm Eastern Time.
