Fears that artificial intelligence will eliminate millions of jobs and cause mass unemployment are overblown, say two of the country’s leading economists, who argue that AI will make jobs easier for most workers.
Westpac chief economist Luci Ellis said the impact of AI will vary depending on occupation and experience level, with clerical, administrative and entry-level jobs more vulnerable.
