We energies and two data center developers are calling on state regulators to relax financial protections included in a new special data center tariff structure.
In a petition filed on Wednesday, We Energies, Vantage data centers and Cloverleaf Infrastructure demanded the state Civil Service Commission amending part of its recent data center tariff decision, which relates to how large energy users financially support projects.
They want to reduce the amount that Oracle – and future data center operators – would have to deposit as collateral for new projects if they do not meet the highest creditworthiness thresholds.
