Watch: China has a new humanoid AI robot in charge of traffic control

Hangzhou is the latest city in China to take traffic control to a new level, introducing a new AI-controlled robot police officer to direct vehicles and pedestrians at a major intersection and politely warn violators of the law.

This 1.8m tall humanoid traffic policeman – Hangxing No. It has high-resolution cameras and sensors, can whistle and is integrated into the intersection’s traffic lights to react to light changes.
