Walter So appointed as new managing director for the Philippines by HPE

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) recently announced the appointment of Walter So as the new General Manager of HPE Philippines. So brings with him years of experience in various industries, including cloud computing and enterprise software. His career in IT started at IBM, where he worked his way up to General Manager of Global Technology Services. So also served as Country Manager for the Philippines at VMware, leading the company through significant growth until its acquisition by Broadcom Software in 2022. Following this, he took on the role of Country Leader for the Philippines and Vietnam at Broadcom Software, where he managed operations and business strategies for the region.

So holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University, with a concentration in Finance. This academic background, coupled with his extensive professional experience, has equipped him with a broad understanding of technology and business management.

As the new General Manager of HPE Philippines, So will be responsible for leading the company’s local operations, driving business growth, and fostering customer relationships. His leadership is expected to be instrumental as HPE continues to deliver innovative technology solutions and services in the region.
