A vote expanding the AM General TIF District to include the Microsoft Data Center Project in St. Joseph County has been postponed until at least next month.
That vote was originally expected to happen next week. Ahead of it, county council members weighed in and candidates are holding public education forums.
Jan Cervelli (D), St. Joseph County Council Candidate held a public education session about TIF’s. She said the vote could impact the entire county. Cervelli wanted to make sure everyone knows how crucial the impact of expanding the district could be.

The vote would expand the existing AM General TIF District to include the Microsoft Data Center site and allow the county to borrow up to $4 million.
