VMware Shares Rise After CMA Greenlights Broadcom Deal

Shares of VMware rose after British regulators cleared Broadcom’s roughly $61 billion takeover of the multi-cloud services provider.

VMware stock climbed almost 6% to $163.71 in premarket trading. Shares were already up more than 27% over the past 12 months through Friday’s close.

Broadcom agreed more than a year ago to pay both stock and cash for VMware.
