VMware part of the new effort to reshape the Internet
New efforts to reshape the Internet include key industry players, VMware, Dell Technologies, and others who will be working on a major transformation with an edge-centered rebuild.
These companies are along with several other founding members of the Open Grid Allianceon the mission of “developing the Internet into a global, shared platform that distributes computers, data and information when and where they are needed when and where they are needed”.
Today’s internet is incapable of sniffing, the group says, because it started at the core and worked outward, offering less functionality in those distant edges.
