The cloud computing provider VMware is focusing more and more on its development in India and has hired over 6,000 people in India, much more than at its headquarters in California, according to CEO Raghu Raghuraman.

Raghuraman was quoted by Business hours as an indication that VMwae is making its product mix available on more developer platforms in order to make it easier to modernize applications.

India has the largest number of software developers in the world and VMware will continue to increase investments in the country after announcing a $ 2 billion investment over five years in 2018, Raghuraman was quoted as saying.

This year VMware is spun off from the parent company Dell. The two companies will operate independently but will work together under a commercial agreement.
