VMware Inc., a computer virtualization software company, is pushing into the multi-cloud with the increased availability of its cross-cloud services via Amazon Web Services Inc.’s cloud marketplace.
VMware presented its cross-cloud services at the VMWorld 2021 conference last month. VMware Cross-Cloud is a suite of integrated services including VMware Tanzu’s application modernization tools and Carbon Black’s cybersecurity tools. With them, companies can use a common set of instructions to build, run, and secure applications that work in any cloud infrastructure.
VMware Cross-Cloud Services enable customers to choose the services and cloud platforms they want to use, and provide a common platform for building and deploying cloud-native applications, cloud-like infrastructure for on-premises applications, and cross-cloud Performance management tools. They also enable companies to implement common security policies for applications that run in multiple clouds.
