Viva.com and Oracle partner to introduce invisible payments for hospitality businesses in Europe

Viva.com has recently integrated with Oracle Payment Interface (OPI), allowing for the use of the payments platform in OPERA 5 On-Premise, Oracle’s property management system. This integration aims to streamline and automate in-person payments, providing a tailored experience for guests in the hospitality sector throughout Europe.

The collaboration between Viva.com and Oracle is a significant step towards optimizing operations for hoteliers and restaurateurs, ultimately leading to growth and enhanced customer satisfaction. Viva.com’s end-to-end solution includes a variety of payment methods, booking-to-payment support, and features designed to meet the diverse needs of multinational clients. With dynamic currency conversion, multi-currency options for merchants, and surcharges, the platform caters to a wide range of payment preferences.

Through Oracle’s OPERA 5 On-Premise platform, hoteliers can now take advantage of Viva.com’s Tap on Any Device technology, allowing for in-person payments to be accepted on existing devices, ranging from reservations to payment systems. By utilizing the Viva.com Terminal application, which can transform any smart device into a card terminal, hoteliers can have multiple POS terminals readily available without the need for additional hardware. This flexibility enables transactions to be conducted anywhere on the property, ensuring that guests can pay in their preferred currency with full exchange rate transparency.

Harry Xenophontos, Director of Partnerships at Viva.com, emphasized the benefits of this collaboration with Oracle, stating that Viva.com’s omnichannel platform aims to enhance operational efficiency and profitability for businesses in Europe. The plug-and-play nature of Viva.com’s platform ensures a seamless checkout experience, ultimately improving customer satisfaction.

In addition to tokenization and real-time settlement features, Viva.com offers Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), supporting 51 cardholder currencies and providing customers with the option to pay in their local currency. This eliminates confusion surrounding exchange rates and ensures a smooth payment experience for guests.

Overall, the partnership between Viva.com and Oracle signifies a significant advancement in the hospitality sector, bringing invisible payments to businesses across Europe. By leveraging technology and strategic partnerships, Viva.com continues to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the overall guest experience from booking to departure.
