Vingcard, a company under ASSA ABLOY, has released Mobile Access, a technology that offers hotel key compatibility with Google Wallet. This collaboration with NXP Semiconductors prioritizes security while providing easy and fast room access for hotel guests. Guests can access their room key through a link in their check-in email, eliminating the need to download a separate app. The digital key can be added to Google Wallet for easy access and use.
The Mobile Access system supports Google Wallet compatibility using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology and MIFARE 2GO credentials solution by NXP, ensuring secure data transmission. MIFARE 2GO manages the lifecycle of the card and digitizes the key placement process in Google Wallet, following advanced encryption standards recommended by NIST. This implementation of MIFARE 2GO in hospitality promises more personalized guest experiences and enhanced security.
Working with Vingcard enables hotels to offer personalized mobile experiences to guests, including adding digital keys to Google Wallet upon booking a room. The system updates the room number post-check-in, accommodating both remote and in-person check-ins. For hotels without a mobile app, Mobile Access can be utilized as a standalone service or integrated with third-party solutions through the Certified Partner program.
Vingcard, a part of ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, provides advanced technology solutions for access management control in various industries, including hospitality and student housing. Committed to enhancing security and efficiency, Vingcard’s integrated solutions cater to the evolving needs of businesses and end-users.
