The patent aims to address security concerns for a large number of managed and unmanaged IoT devices across the corporate infrastructure.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif .– Viakoo has been granted a patent for its method of remotely updating and managing a wide variety of IP-connected devices, whether they are on isolated networks, local area networks, or wide area networks.
Unmanaged and IoT devices increase the risk of cyber vulnerabilities and other operational challenges if they use outdated firmware or lack certificate management. Viakoo claims that its solution is specifically tailored to a critically growing security challenge for cyber-physical systems for companies that have a large number of managed and unmanaged IoT devices in their corporate infrastructure.
“Modern IP networks have enabled valuable improvements in functionality, management and operational controls in nearly every industry and company size,” said Bud, CEO of Viakoo.
