USAID and Amazon Web Services collaborate to launch the TALENTA Accelerator 2024 Program

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Elitery have launched the Accelerator Program TALENT by 2024 in Indonesia. This initiative aims to support early-stage technology startups in various sectors like education, healthcare, agribusiness, governance, and smart cities by providing essential resources to access venture capital and create significant socioeconomic impact.

With the increasing number of Indonesians connecting to the Internet and using digital platforms, new digital platforms are transforming the economic and social landscape of the country. The TALENT Accelerator 2024 helps small and medium-sized businesses prepare for the growing digitalization trend and address the challenges of digital transformation. The program aims to lay a solid foundation for Indonesia’s digital economy by leveraging the expertise of companies like Amazon Web Services along with government initiatives.

Brian Chang, Deputy Director of the Procurement and Assistance Office of USAID Indonesia, highlighted the importance of collaboration with the private sector to maximize the impact of programs supporting Indonesian-American business growth. The launch event was attended by 35 startups from the health, agribusiness, and education sectors, with alumni like Holy Sie from MomWork sharing their success stories after participating in the TALENT Accelerator.

Participants of the TALENT Accelerator 2024 will have access to leading AWS cloud technology and guidance from industry leaders to enhance their innovation and competitiveness. The program consists of interactive online and face-to-face meetings, accelerator classes, workshops, and coaching sessions designed to help startups present their business models to investors, secure funding, and establish strategic partnerships.

Overall, the TALENT Accelerator 2024 initiative aims to support Indonesia’s digital economy by empowering startups in key sectors to thrive in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
