USA cricket player Saurabh Netravalkar juggles engineering career at Oracle



Saurabh Netravalkar, a prominent player on Team USA’s cricket team, has balanced his engineering job at Oracle with his cricket career for over six years. Originally from India, the 32-year-old led the United States to a surprising victory against Pakistan in the Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup held in Grand Prairie, Texas. This victory came after a super over where Team USA scored 18 runs and restricted Pakistan to 13 runs, taking advantage of two wides by their opponents. Apart from his professional cricket career, Netravalkar pursued graduate studies at Cornell University and co-founded a cricket player analysis app called “CricDeCode”. He transitioned to the United States in 2015 to further develop his professional and athletic endeavors, joining Oracle in 2016 and the US national team in 2017-18.
