US DOJ joins HPE’s motion to clarify states’ intervention in Tunney-Act review | MLex | Specialist news and analysis on legal risk and regulation

(December 2, 2025, 00:54 GMT | Official Statement) — MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s motion to clarify states’ involvement in reviewing a deal over the company’s acquisition of Juniper Networks. The Justice Department said it joined HPE’s request to clarify the nature and scope of the states’ intervention. “Although the Court has granted the Intervenors’ motion, continued ambiguity about the nature and scope of their intervention will undoubtedly lead to disputes about the preparation required for any hearing the Court may hold regarding its public interest determination under the Tunney Act,” the Justice Department said in a court filing.
