VMware Tanzu aims to empower soldiers to use modern cloud technologies and DevSecOps practices; Solve problems through agile and more secure software development processes

VMware (NYSE: VMW) announced today that it has been selected by the US Army Futures Command to enable a soldier-by-soldier software factory. Together, Army Futures Command and VMware will cultivate the Army’s first soldier-run Silicon Valley software company. The new initiative will enable Soldiers to apply cloud-native development practices and develop software to meet current and future mission priorities.

Through the Army Software Factory, the US Army will tap into the deep talent pool of its workforce and train tech-savvy soldiers and civilians.
