Microsoft released its latest Patch Tuesday version, which fixes over 100 vulnerabilities in Windows 10 as well as fixes for other products, including the Microsoft Exchange email server, following the recent attacks.
Of the 108 patched vulnerabilities, 19 are classified as critical, with five being zero-day vulnerabilities, one of which is known to be actively exploited in the wild.
“We believe this exploit may be used in the wild, possibly by multiple threat actors. It is an Escalation of Privilege (EoP) exploit that is likely to be used in conjunction with other browser exploits to escape sandboxes or gain system privileges to get further access, “noted the security researchers at Kaspersky in a blog post about the security vulnerability of threat actors.
