BEIJING, February 22 (Reuters). China will put more pressure on its regions to increase grain yields and increase support for the domestic seed industry as it increases its focus on food security in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, a key policy document that was released late Sunday showed.
The annual land policy blueprint known as “No. 1 document “emphasizing food security more than in previous years and calling on all provinces to improve grain yields in the period 2021-2025.
