Sony and Microsoft have different strategies for the current generation of games PlayStation 5 against the Xbox Series X | S.. While Microsoft is rely on services like Game PassSony focuses on exclusive games. So it’s a bit of a surprise to see Uncharted, one of Sony’s most prestigious exclusive franchises to date, coming to the PC.

In one Presentation for investors on WednesdayThe company has revealed that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End would launch on the PC platform as well as Days Gone. It is part of a Sony strategy to sell more games in China and India, where PC games are far more common than console games.



It follows Horizon Zero Dawnwhich was ported to PC after selling millions of units on the PS4 last August. This critically acclaimed game was a huge hit on the PC. with sales of more than 700,000 in the first week. (Speaking of the horizon, Sony will announce details on its sequel Forbidden West on Thursday.)

Sony also announced in its investor presentation that it aims to make money with every standard PS5 device it sells – that is, in June the cost of making the console will be cheaper than the wholesale price. Sony plans to sell more than 14.8 million PlayStation 5 units in fiscal 2021 despite the global semiconductor shortage that has made buying one notoriously difficult.

The gaming giant didn’t mention when Uncharted would be coming to PCs, although it likely would just in time for the Uncharted moviewith Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland, who will hit the big screen next February.
