UNC basketball will be facing UCLA as part of the CBS Sports Classic on December 21 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This game will kick off at 3 p.m. ET, preceding the match between Kentucky and Ohio State. This is the first game time announced for the 2024-25 season for the Tar Heels.
North Carolina currently holds a 6-4 record in the CBS Sports Classic, the best of all the participating teams. Ohio State is 5-4, Kentucky is 5-5, and UCLA is 3-6. The CBS Sports Classic will also feature a matchup between Ohio State and Kentucky on the same day.
In terms of the UNC basketball team’s schedule, they will be playing against Duke, NC State, and Pitt both at home and away in ACC play. They will host Boston College, Cal, Georgia Tech, Miami, SMU, Stanford, and Virginia at home, while traveling to face Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. The conference has not yet released dates for these matchups.
