HPE’s planned $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks is currently under investigation by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to determine if the deal will reduce competition in the UK market. The investigation is in phase 1 and will last until August 14, with a comment period for interested parties ending on July 3. Juniper, a networking products company based in Sunnyvale, CA, reported $5.6 billion in revenue in 2023. HPE announced in January that the acquisition aims to capitalize on the growing demand for unified, secure technology solutions in the AI and hybrid cloud-driven business landscape. Juniper CEO Rami Rahim will lead HPE’s networking business under the acquisition deal. Rahim expressed optimism about the acquisition, believing that it will accelerate their innovation and value creation for shareholders. Both companies look forward to collaborating to drive innovation for enterprises, service providers, and cloud customers across various domains.
