Try out Google Vids for free before it officially launches to the public

Google has released a new AI-powered video editing app called Vids, currently only available to Workspace Labs testers but set to be available to paid users later this year. Vids uses Google’s Gemini AI to create storyboards and scripts quickly based on a description of the video’s topic and purpose. The app functions similarly to a PowerPoint presentation on steroids, with AI generating slides, scripts, and searching for relevant footage. Users can edit the videos and export them as MP4 files. Despite some basic AI functionalities, Vids is expected to improve before its full release. It is reminiscent of iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, making it suitable for creating short videos for school or work. Interested users can try Vids for free through Workspace Labs.
