Trump declares war on one of his weapons

Even as Donald Trump last week ordered government agencies to “immediately stop” all use of Anthropic’s Claude artificial intelligence tools, those tools were used to launch the attack on Iran.

Claude has deep roots in the US military – it was the only AI technology approved for secret use – and is used for mission planning, intelligence gathering and collation, identifying targets, simulating combat scenarios and conducting cyber operations.
